Fieldtrip to Toolern

We have arranged a field trip to Toolern/Eynesbury (Melton shire) for any interested OEP students. Melton has made a firm commitment to a sustainable future that will involve creating a six star environmentally conscious city that will be able to cater for the demands of its projected massive population increase of up to 100,000 people in the next two decades.

A senior strategic town planner from the Melton shire will be giving a briefing, followed by a visit to the site itself and a byo-picnic on the golf course. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions.

ECO - MINDS

Applications are currently being sought for Eco-Minds, a competition which offers three university students the opportunity to represent Australia at an international youth forum on sustainable development.

Eco-Minds is an initiative of the United Nations Environmental Program and Bayer, and aims to foster awareness and knowledge of environmental issues amongst youth from nine Asia Pacific countries, namely, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, China, and Korea.

Held in Bangkok, Thailand from 31 May - 3 June, successful candidates will have the opportunity to advance their careers and represent their universities on both a national and international stage.
